Chris is sad whenever he misses LLC b/c he is home late from work - often he goes to her crib and has a little cuddle with her while she is sleeping! Thankfully she does not wake up.Tanya (Bump2Basics)http://www.chatty-t.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1195788236766051950.post-3000945125625577732011-04-17T19:46:21.675+01:002011-04-17T19:46:21.675+01:00And to think the Federation of Small Businesses wa...And to think the Federation of Small Businesses wants to knock this on the head!Tanya (Bump2Basics)http://www.chatty-t.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1195788236766051950.post-85370193114041788512011-04-17T19:41:18.658+01:002011-04-17T19:41:18.658+01:00A positive move indeed and your point about men it...A positive move indeed and your point about men it encouraging men to share the "baby duties" is a good one.Tanya (Bump2Basics)http://www.chatty-t.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1195788236766051950.post-90661210596414431352011-04-12T17:24:41.789+01:002011-04-12T17:24:41.789+01:00Oops. Like you I'd be a tinsy bit jealous that I had to go back and that he could take over but I know he felt the same when I got to stay home and he had to go back to work after a measly two weeks.

I agree with Nappy Valley girl's comment - it really depends on the couple and their circumstances but I think in general it can only be a good thing.deerbabynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1195788236766051950.post-71041836820217128692011-04-04T17:34:31.359+01:002011-04-04T17:34:31.359+01:00Well, you can probably guess my views. If you are breastfeeding then clearly you as the mother need to be the one that takes the leave for as long as you choose to feed. But I think it's a very positive move - for one thing it means the mother doesn't have to be the one that puts her career on hold for a year. Also it means the Dad gets more involved in the babycare. Friends of mine in Norway had shared maternity/paternity leave for up to 2 years - they both took time off and when we visited, the Father was an expert in making babyfood, washing kids' clothes etc - things that many fathers never go near.Nappyvalleygirlnoreply@blogger.com
